little-songbird-greene asked: "You have to let me go."

Eyes water as Murphy holds Beth so close to him, both of them staring off in the direction of a rosary that lay bloody on grass. Something ripped from around her neck in the chaos. The Irishman has failed in so many ways. Failed to keep his brother alive, her husband safe. Failed to save the life of their little girl, so small and sick with what plagued so many at the prison. And now — failed to keep his best friend by his side after so much they have already been through together. Failed to keep her from experiencing more pain. But he is also being selfish in the words that don’t want to leave his mouth. She could be with them again but he would be entirely alone.

”M’na’ ready ta lose ye too…”

fromxupxthexroadxaways asked: "Hope is a very dangerous thing to lose."

Words are rolled around in the Irishman’s head. A smile nod is given soon after, a small agreement to the statement. Its true enough but how to keep it in times like these is the question. One that lingers on his tongue before Murphy finally voices it.

”But how do ye seem ta keep it?”

I wish I had a thousand words for love, but all that comes to mind is the way you move against me while you sleep and there are no words for that.

askemmathenightmareprincess asked: "Trust you? I don’t even know you!"

”Understandable — but s’pro’ly not a good idea ta be stickin’ ‘round here still.”

Murphy is trying to be helpful in this moment. Knowing full well that any second now bullets will be flying.

indyflanery asked: "You made a promise... You lied to us. "

               ”… I know.”

Murphy speaks the words so lowly, guilt already been eating away at him for far too long. He promised to stop putting himself in danger. Promised to stop so he could be alive and with his brothers — but it was harder to do than speak the words. The Irishman still seemed to continue his job in guilt and hopes of his family not finding out. But Indiana had; caught him red handed in the blood of a criminal.

               ”Please don’be mad at me.”
